A fresh leak suggests that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro may launch in a new 'Rose' color, according to a post by tipster OvO Baby Sauce OvO (translated from Chinese) on Chinese social media platform Weibo. This new color option ruled out earlier rumors that Apple would reintroduce the rose gold colorway first seen with the iPhone 6S in 2015. Here are the details.

The tipster also mentioned that the blue titanium finish, introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro models last year, could be discontinued. Instead, the rose colorway is expected to join the existing black, gray, and silver/white options for the iPhone 16 Pro variants. This information is in line with a previous report by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicted that a new 'rose' titanium colorway could be part of Apple's next iPhone series.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to retain the same color options as the iPhone 15 series, with the only change being a yellow color option with a white color option. These color updates could provide a fresh aesthetic appeal for the iPhone 16 Pro, potentially attracting a wider range of consumers. As with all leaks, it's advised to take this information with a pinch of salt as Apple has yet to confirm it.
The iPhone 16 series is tipped to come with larger displays and even thinner bezels for a better visual experience. The iPhone 16 Pro could sport a larger 6.3-inch screen. However, such a large display can be a problem for one-handed use. The leak suggests that Apple may move toward capacitive, touch-sensitive buttons that mimic the feeling of pressing a real button through haptic feedback. The innovation, powered by Apple's Taptic Engine, was originally expected for the iPhone 15 series but was delayed due to technical hurdles.
The iPhone 16 Pro might feature the advanced A18 Pro chip. The iPhone 16 Pro might feature a 5x optical zoom capability similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, thanks to Apple's tetraprism lens system, promising improved zoom performance without sacrificing image quality. Apple is reportedly working on new anti-reflective optical coating technology for its cameras to reduce artifacts like lens flare and ghosting, ensuring better image quality in various lighting conditions. Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro models are tipped to receive an upgraded 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, which would capture more light and deliver clearer, more detailed shots. The rest of the details are still unknown. The iPhone 16 series is likely to launch in September this year.
