Driving License Fee Update For Punjab Citizens January 2024

The Punjab government is all set to enforce a new fee structure for driving licenses with a massive hike after 20 years.

The new rates will come into effect from January 1, 2024, and the government is planning to publish advertisements to people in this regard.

Regular Driving License

Necessary Documents Below mentioned documents required for a regular driving license:

Copy of CNIC
3 Passport size photographs
Medical certificate (issued by an authorized medical practitioner)
Medical Fitness Certificate (only for the candidates of the age of 50 years or above)
Application form (A)
Original learner permit (at least 42 days within the validity period)
Paste relevant ticket on the document
Rs. 180 on the STR form has to be deposited in the branch after passing the test.

Learner License Fee from January 2024

The provincial government has jacked up the learner driving license fee from Rs60 to Rs500.

Motorcycle Driving License Fee Update

Previously, the government received Rs550 in the wake of a fee for a motorcycle driving license with five-year validity. Starting from January 1, 2024, citizens of Punjab will have to pay Rs500 every year for the license.

Car, Jeep Driving License Fee Update

Previously, the Punjab government charged Rs950 fee for five-year driving license for car or jeep. Now, it will receive Rs1,800 every year from the citizens.
