 وزیراعلیٰ گجرات: وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب چوہدری پرویز الٰہی نے کہا ہے کہ ان کی حکومت نے دو یا اس سے کم بچے والے خاندانوں کو 60,000 روپے ماہانہ راشن پیکج دینے کا منصوبہ بنایا ہے تاکہ ورلڈ بینک کو شامل کرکے خاندانی منصوبہ بندی کی حوصلہ افزائی کی جا سکے۔ جمعہ کو یہاں یونیورسٹی آف گجرات (UoG) کے ساتویں کانووکیشن میں مہمان خصوصی کے طور پر طلباء سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے، مسٹر الٰہی نے کہا کہ احساس پروگرام کے تحت خاندانی منصوبہ بندی کے شعبے کو بحال کرنے کے لیے متعارف کرایا جانے والا پیکیج جو ماضی میں نظر انداز کیا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ شہباز حکومت ملک میں "مہنگائی اور مہنگائی کا سونامی" لے کر آئی ہے جس نے شریف کو بری طرح بے نقاب کر دیا ہے، انہوں نے الزام لگایا کہ مسلم لیگ (ن) کی قیادت ملک آکر ڈالر بیرون ملک لے جائے گی۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ عمران خان کی قابل قیادت میں قوم خوشحالی اور ترقی کی منزل کی طرف گامزن ہے کیونکہ "مسٹر خان کسی سے نہیں ڈرتے اور نہ ہی کسی کے سامنے جھک سکتے ہیں"۔ یو او جی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شبر عتیق، سابق وزیر تعلیم میاں عمران مسعود، مسلم لیگ ق کے اراکین اسمبلی، گجرات کے ڈپٹی کمشنر عامر شہزاد کانگ اور دیگر بھی موجود تھے۔ مسٹر الٰہی نے کہا کہ مسٹر خان ایک سچے رہنما تھے اور "اگر کوئی ان پر بغیر کسی جواز کے تنقید کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے تو میں ہمیشہ ان کا دفاع کروں گا۔" تاہم، انہوں نے مزید کہا: "میرے پاس مسٹر خان کے سامنے اپنی رائے کا اظہار کرنے کی ہمت ہے اور میرے خیالات اکثر وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ درست ثابت ہوتے ہیں۔" انہوں نے کہا کہ مسلم لیگ (ن) نے پنجاب میں اقتدار میں آنے کے بعد یہ کہہ کر پروپیگنڈا مہم شروع کی تھی کہ ان کی حکومت کو مالی وسائل کہاں سے ملیں گے، لیکن وقت نے ثابت کر دیا ہے کہ ان کی حکومت کے ارادے اچھے ہیں اور اس کے پاس وسائل خرچ کرنے کے لیے کافی ہیں۔ عوام کی ترقی۔" اس نے شامل کیا.

انہوں نے کہا کہ اسی طرح سیلاب سے متاثرہ افراد کو احساس پروگرام سے مالی امداد کے ذریعے معاوضہ بھی دیا جائے گا جبکہ جنوبی پنجاب میں بچوں کے وظیفے میں 100 فیصد اضافہ کیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامی تعلیمات پر عمل کرتے ہوئے ان کی حکومت نے تعلیمی اداروں میں قرآن پاک کا ترجمہ کے ساتھ لازمی پڑھنا متعارف کرایا ہے اور طلباء کو مفت کتابیں فراہم کی جارہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے گجرات میں 700 بستروں پر مشتمل چلڈرن ہسپتال اور ڈینٹل کالج کا اعلان کیا جس کے بارے میں انہوں نے کہا کہ اسے ’’سینٹر آف ایکسیلنس‘‘ بنایا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے تعلیم کے کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے لیے UOG کی کارکردگی پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا، خاص طور پر ان خواتین میں جن کا یونیورسٹی میں داخلہ 62 فیصد تھا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ خواتین کو بااختیار بنانے کی ایک بہترین مثال ہے۔ انہوں نے UOG میں لڑکیوں کے نئے ہاسٹلز کی تعمیر کے لیے 420 ملین روپے، نو نئی بسوں کے لیے 150 ملین روپے اور یونیورسٹی میں انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی لیب کے قیام کے لیے 40 ملین روپے فراہم کرنے کا وعدہ کیا۔

GUJRAT: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said his government has planned an initiative to give Rs60,000 monthly ration package to the families having two or less children to encourage family planning by involving the World Bank.

Addressing the students as a chief guest at the 7th convocation of the University of Gujrat (UoG) here on Friday, Mr Elahi said the package to be introduced under the Ehsas Programme to revive the family planning sector that remained neglected in the past.

He said Shehbaz government had brought a “tsunami of inflation and price hike” in the country that has badly exposed Mr Sharif, alleging the PML-N leadership would come to the country and took dollars abroad.

He says the nation under the able leadership of Imran Khan is heading towards the goal of prosperity and progress as “Mr Khan is not scared of anybody, nor he could bow to any one”.

UoG Vice Chacnellor Professor Dr Shabbar Atiq, former education minister Mian Imran Masood, PML-Q lawmakers, Gujrat Deputy Commissioner Amer Shahzad Kang and others were also present.

Mr Elahi said Mr Khan was a truthful leader and “I would always defend him if anybody tried to criticise him without any justification.” However, he added: “I have the courage to express my opinion in front of Mr Khan and my views often prove right with the passage of time.”

He said the PML-N had launched a propaganda campaign after he came into the power in Punjab saying from where his government would get financial resources, “but the time has proved that his government’s intensions are good and it has enough resources to spend on the uplift of the masses.” he added.

Similarly, he said, the flood-affected people would also be compensated through financial assistance from Ehsas programme, whereas the stipend for children had been increased by 100 percent in south Punjab.

He said that acting on Islamic teachings, his government had introduced mandatory reading of the Holy Quran with translation in the educational institutions and free books were being provided to the students.

He announced a 700-bed children’s hospital and a dental college at Gujrat that he said would be made a “centre of excellence”.

He expressed satisfaction at the UoG performance for promoting the culture of education, particularly among the women whose enrollment at the varsity was 62 per cent. It was a great example of women empowerment, he added.

He pledged to provide Rs420 million for the construction of new girls hostels in the UoG, Rs150 million for nine new buses and a sum of Rs40 million to establish an information technology lab at the varsity..
